5 Things To Do On Valentines

Good morning everybody I hope you had a great weekend. I know I did! Superbowl 50 champs right here : ). Anyways as we get into a new week it occurred to me this morning that its valentines weekend.

I know some of you are probably rolling your eyes but hey I like valentines day, its an excuse to spend a ridiculous amount of money and to be pampered. I am all about that in the name of love of course haha. I also think that because people purposefully set this time apart, it gives couples an opportunity to reconnect, have good conversations and enjoy each others company at least more than they usually do (hopefully : ) ).

Here are a few ideas of what to do this weekend:
  1. Do the usual valentines day dinner and splurge on a great restaurant not just nice, great. Dress up and enjoy your partners company over a delicious meal and a good bottle of wine. People always say its cliche but I've never been to a restaurant where the couples looked miserable. Who doesn't like a good meal?!
  2. Go away for the weekend. If you live around New England there is plenty of snow in the mountains for skiing and that kind of thing. Make it adventurous and get in the hot tub in this freezing weather yikes. Its a good excuse to cuddle later.
  3. Stay home and make your own dinner. Make it fun and cook something new together. Put on some music and dance while you're at it, watch a movie and just chill. Enjoy your togetherness.
  4. Do something you both love doing together. When you have been together for a long time you kinda start to take things for granted. Go for a movie, bowling, play games, whatever it is you both enjoy make this weekend a date. Asking your partner what they feel like doing may be helpful as long as you are both doing it together.
  5. For couples with kids make this weekend all about you. Have someone take the kids for at least one day and spend some time reconnecting. It may be the one weekend in the year you get some time just for yourself.
I hope you all have a great week ahead and spread the love : ).
